In 1979 The National Tattoo Club of the World held their first convention in Denver, CO. It’s difficult to imagine, but at that time there were only two conventions a year in the United States; one being theirs and the other, Dave Yurkew’s. Later their name was changed to the National Tattoo Association and their annual conventions were a “must attend” event. Their conventions went on for thirty-nine years and were held in various cities through out the United States. Over the years they became more of a family reunion than a convention. Sadly the last one was in 2018. This poster was originally from the Frank Mills Collection and the art work is credited to Ron Ackers. The poster is mounted on heavy board.
