A rare lithograph by Nathaniel Currier (1813-1888). A faint anchor is visible on William's left hand. In 1857 Currier teamed up with his brother-in-law James Ives (1824-1895) and formed the legendary lithographs publishing company of Currier & Ives. The subject matter of their prints ranged from rural life, ships, sporting events, currents events and more.
