Milton Zeis operated a supply business in Rockford, IL in the mid 1900s. Like most tattoo suppliers Zeis sold photographs of heavily tattooed men and women and he offered 36 photos of Bert Grimm's tattooing. Zeis offered these images in postcard and 8 x 10 inch sizes. These photographs of Bert’s tattooing look like they were taken and printed (with that fancy edge) by him and possibly given or sold to Zeis for resale, hence the rubber-stamp on the back.
