Marquand was a well-known tattooist from Bellingham, Washington, during the 1920 and 30s. Although his tattoo career was short, he made waves in the tattoo world with his artwork. Seen here is a sheet of stencil rubs from the Fred Marquand Collection. Stencil rubs were a way that many tattooists shared their designs with other tattooists.
