A cool piece of tattoo history from legendary tattoo artist Jack Rudy.Back when tattoo flash sets were common in shops, Jack Rudy released several sheets of his detailed designs meant for professional tattooists and issued this warning about them:“These designs are very detailed and definitely not for the amateur. They are for the discriminating tattooist who wants new and unique designs in his/her shop.”
That still rings true today.
This original 1982 flash sheet hung for many years in the shop at the Tattoo Archive in Berkeley. The sheet is on heavy board, covered with thin plastic, eyelets in the corners with black tape on the edges.
